TEENAGER JUMPS INTO RIVER TO ESCAPE POLICE QUESTIONING - OSAKA JAPAN

A teenage boy jumped into a river to escape police questioning in Osaka.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 4 p.m. on Monday near the Osaka Detention House in Miyakojima Ward, NTV reported. Aichi Prefectural Police officers, who were tracking the youth as part of an investigation into organized crime, attempted to question him.
However, he suddenly ran away from the officers and jumped into the Okawa River. He swam about 70 meters to the other side and escaped in a car.
Police said they believed the youth had come to visit someone at the detention facility.
Police have reportedly obtained an arrest warrant for him.
