Travel Independent VS Guided Tour

Traveling with own notes compared to traveling with the travel agencies is different. It not only involves financial factors, time and limitation of destination as well.

Many of the travellers prefer to travel / travel abroad despite the lack of travel restrictions, time arrangements by own and follows the itinery programs organized by the travel agency.

I will share about my own experience traveling to destinations mostly as solo with self-port raising notes. It's very-very worth it!

1Free travel

Allows for a slower pace, allowing you to recognize more local culture and create a richer experience in one particular area.

So it's okay if you're on a trip to New Zealand for example, walking across a couple, or eating cheese cake with your friends in the mountain villages of Sapa, it's authentic.

What I'm talking about here is the cultural journey we want to see and learn, that may be more difficult to do is about relationships from different destinations and also different country.

Sharing experiences when I speak and meet a family in Lombok. The family recently returned from a guided tour of Indonesia with a travel company. While the family really enjoyed the time, but the father complained that he had no "authentic" experience.

He was very disappointed not to have the opportunity to leave the world of tourism groups to recognize the life of the village. Not only that, the journey is too short with location to every destination not more than 30 minutes. It is fast and has no chance to enjoy the beauty of the city. In addition, at the beach of Gili Trawangan, they have no opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the low tide which will allow tourists to take pictures on a very beautiful and interesting cradle. Just because in Gili Trawangan Beach, Lombok only has this kind of beauty. Disappointed to it.

He was not even disappointed to hear that I had travelled the same, freely, walking freely among the villages and never had a problem even wandering alone.

2More Flexibility


While you can usually find a guided tour that can fit into your travel plans, there is still a limit on where you want to go and what you want to do?

Benefits not bound to travel agency are not tied to the program provided. Because if planning to follow a travel agency, no last minute change plan is allowed and you cannot travel an hour or two to another city you expect to see as well.

And of course it is always possible that you hate the places you visit. What can you do now? You cannot change the plan of your trip suddenly. Or vice versa because you need to follow the program provided then, what if you fell in love with the place? There is no way you can decide to spend just one more day. Not easy!

So, if we are not tied to the travel agency it is easier for us to change the travel plan because all decisions are in our hands.

Before going on a trek, I always try to find information about the destinations that will go and print it to bring. What's more important is collecting information- the cost of the destination, budget accommodation and the interesting location and travel method. Everything comes at the price attached and that's all relative to your experience.

Guided tours are always more expensive as you pay for others to plan for you. Though, sometimes small group visits are a cheaper option.

I have travelled to 27 exciting destinations. Most of the locations I visit are budget. I'm pretty good on my way with the budget. We see guided tour pricing and know that we can do the same and more, at a slower pace, with the same more or less frequent local experience. But of course it comes with troublesome prices, hard work, and discomfort.

4Social Dynamics

You launch a guided tour for the next 1 months throughout Europe, you have paid all your money, you are very excited and then on day 3 you realize you have nothing like 30 other people on the bus.
In fact, you cannot stand it. What you think of the adventure of your dreams, has turned into a nightmare. Tired of being able to get back home quickly!

One thing I learned from traveling with others is that you need to be truly selective. Friendship can explode quickly. You are in the pocket of each one for the days ending.

If social dynamics do not work it can be terrible. With free travel you can choose who you bring with it. If you find that you are not competing with your travel buddy, you can make a choice quickly and change directions apart from each other.

I have experience while studying at a Bachelor's Degree in University. Travel with six friends to Thailand. While in Thailand, we do not agree to the location but even night activities are different. So it's because we have decided to withdraw from next adventure. It is very sad.

I am more than happy to travel alone and have friends who share the same interests. Do not like being tied to any program and prefer to move in accordance with the self-prepared plan. More challenging, save, fun and profitable.

This would exercise the muscles in the lower part of the abdomen. When performing leg lifts, place your hand under your buttock. It adds leverage and helps you get your feet elevated.

3.                     Crunches
-Almost all people know how to do this. This exercise targets the upper abdomen. It’s one of the basic but effective exercise. To perform crunches, you need to lie on a flat surface with your hands in your chest or behind you head. Contract your abs, then hold for 2 seconds, then return to your lying position. Proper crunches are in a continuous and controlled fashion. Concentrate on your abdominal muscles to pull your upper body up. Avoid using the neck or shoulders to push yourself up. This incorrect practice will cause stress and strains.

4.                   V-Crunches
-It’s almost like lying except your chest is at a 45 degree angle starting out. Sit at the edge of a bench and reach back just enough to support yourself from completely lying on the bench. Once you’ve stabilized, bring your knees toward your chest. You would be creating a V motion. The base of the V would be your abs.

5.                    Bicycle Crunch
-To do this, start Y lying flat on the floor. Put your hand beside your head then raise knees up to 45 degrees angle and then perform a pedalling motion like what you do when you ride the bicycle.

6.                     Cat Stretch
-It’s the same with the movements made by a cat when they stretch their back. This simple action is a quick and easy exercise. Get down on the floor with your hands and knees, with muscles relaxed and looking straight ahead. Next, tighten your abdominal muscles while thrusting you back upward as far as you can. Maintain the position for five counts before lowering your back.

7.                      Standing Side Bends
-Standing side bends encourages the loss of fats in the oblique muscles. To start, stand up straight with the stomach sucked in, legs straight and hands on the sides. Simply lean the body from left to right being careful not to rotate the hips and while keeping body facing front. There is a variety of side bends, this is the torso twists. Instead of bending side to side twist or rotate the upper body from left to right while keeping the legs straight.

People act for many reasons;
But for whom, or what, do or should they act-for themselves, for God, or for the good of the planet? Can an individual ever act only according to her own interests without regard for others’ interests. Conversely, can an individual ever truly act for others in complete disregard for her own interests? The answers will depend on an account of free will. Some philosophers argue that an individual has no choice in these matters, claiming that a person’s acts are determined by prior events which make illusory any belief in choice. Nevertheless, if an element of choice is permitted against the great causal impetus from nature, or God, it follows that a person possesses some control over her next action, therefore, and, hat, one may inquire as to whether the individual does, or, should choose a –self-interest and pursue others’ interest instead: to what extent are other-regarding acts morally praiseworthy compared to self-regarding acts?

Why egoism happens?

1.To look out for and seek their own best interest.
2.To do with what people OUGHT to do not what they actually do.

Comon sense and folk psychology assumes that people tent to act in their own interests. Today’s culture reflects an interest in self-improvement, self-esteem, and self-gratification. The “X-Generation” has also been called the “Me-Generation,” as rampant consumerism focuses young people on immediate gratification and reflects no example of community responsibility or consideration for others.

Our culture provides examples of both self- and other-centered paradigms. There are countless examples of people who act in the interests of others, sacrificing their own comfort and safety, to help fellow human beings, living creatures, or the physical environment. The acts of kindness, generosity, self-sacrifice and advocacy cover the spectrum of needs. Fire-fighters risked their lives, indeed some died!!!

Egoism Good In Our Nature Of Life?

To very briefly answer this question, nerves were originally developed for the coordination of movement in animals, but, once developed, their ability to store impressions- which is what we refer to as ‘memory’ – gave rise to the potential to develop understanding of cause and effect. If you can remember past events, you can compare them with current events and identify regularly occurring experiences. This knowledge or, or insight into, what has commonly occurred in the past enables you to predict what is likely to happen in the future and to adjust your behaviour accordingly.
Once insights into the nature of change are put into effect, the self-modified behaviour starts to provide feedback, refining the insights further. Predictions are compared with outcomes and so on…

Much developed, and such refinement occurred in the human brain, nerves can sufficiently associate information to reason how experience are related, learn to understand and become conscious of, or aware of, or intelligent about, the relationship between events that occur through time. Thus consciousness, which again is our conscious thinking self or ego, means being sufficiently aware of how experiences are related to attempt to manage change from a basis of understanding.

Unable-until now- to truthfully explain our competitive, selfish and aggressive egocentric of Human Condition we justified it with all manner of false excuses, but, most wonderfully, biology is finally able to provide clarifying, psychosis-addressing-and-solving, truthful, real explanation of the human condition to be redeeming, relieving and thus healing explanation that brings about the complete Transformation of the human race, ending our angry, ego-embattled, alienated condition forever and egocentric!!!

So, even though the issues of the human condition has been the real, underlying issue we needed to solve if we were to exonerate and thus rehabilitate human behaviour, we have been so fearful of the subject of the human condition that instead of confronting it and trying to solve it we have been pre-occupied denying and escaping it. The truth is that while much attention has been given to the need to love each other and the environment if we are to ‘save the world’, the real need if we were to actually succeed in doing so was to find the means to love the dark side of ourselves to find the reconciling understanding of our ‘good-and-’evil’-afflicted human condition that was causing so much suffering and destruction!

The only forms of defiance available to the intellect/ego were to attack the instincts’ unjust criticism, and attempt to prove the instincts’ unjust criticism wrong. In short- and to return to our human situation because we were the species that acquired the fully conscious mind-the psychologically upset angry, alienated and egocentric human-condition-afflicted state appeared. Our ego became ego-centric-it became ‘centred’ or preoccupied or focused on the need to justify itself. We became self-centred or selfish, preoccupied with aggressively competing for opportunities to prove we are good and not bad-we unavoidably became selfish, aggressive and competitive.

We Must Know,
BEST OF ALL, because this explanation of the human condition is redeeming and thus rehabilitating, all our upset angry, egocentric and alienated behaviour now subsides, bringing about the complete TRANSFORMATION OF THE HUMAN RACE- and importantly, understanding of the human condition doesn’t condone ‘bad’ behaviour, it heals and by so doing ends it. From being competitive, selfish and aggressive, humans return to being cooperative, selfless and loving. Our round of departure has ended.

The poet T.S. Eliot wonderfully articulated our species’ journey from an original innocent, yet ignorant, state, to a psychologically upset ‘fallen’ corrupted state, and back to an uncorrupted, but this time enlightened, state when he wrote, ‘We Shall Not Cease From Exploration And The End Of All Our Exploring Will Be To Arrive Where We Started And Know The Place For The First Time’ (citation: Little Gidding, 1942).

Finding the exonerating, redeeming understanding of troubled, psychologically upset, dark, human-condition-afflicted existence finally enables the human race to be healed and thus TRANSFORMED!!!

That Why,

‘I have no doubt this biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race’.
