BRUNEI NEARS 70 % FULLY VACCINATED RATE: GOVT CONFIRMS 54 NEW COVID-19 CASES ON NOVEMBER 15, 2021 (MONDAY)
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, BRUNEI DARUSSALAM : A total of 299,651 individuals (of 69.7 per cent of the populace)in Brunei have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 381,106 ( or 88.6 per cent of the populace ) have received the first dose under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar announced this at the daily press conference the capital, adding that 7,179 individuals were inoculated on November 13, among them 2,307 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17.
Since the vaccination programme was conducted on April 13, 2021 up until November 13, 2021, a total of 680,757 have been inoculated.
The breakdown shows that 438,694 were immunised in Brunei - Muara District, 82, 247 in Belait District, 78,414 in Tutong District and 74,402 in Temburong District.
Meanwhile, Brunei reported 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, November 14, 2021, bringing the total tally to 14,269.
According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, all the newly recorded cases were local infections.
While the source of 17 local infections was still under investigation, four (4) new clusters have been detected and eight (8) clusters were closed following no new cases in the clusters for 28 days, bringing the total number of active clusters to 160.
A total of 13,645 recoveries have been reported, and 526 active cases are still being treated and monitored in Brunei. As many as 98 patients have passed away so far in the country.
