APRIL 01, 2022 NO MORE TESTING AND QUARANTINE - BORDER MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE FULLY REOPEN
Malaysia will start entering the endemic phase on April 01, 2022 and the borders between Singapore and Malaysia will be fully reopened on the same day.
With the new SOPs, those who are fully vaccinated and travelling between both countries using the Causeway and Second Link don't need to quarantine and don't need to do any pre-departure or on-arrival COVID-19 testing.
Travellers who are testing by air also don't need to perform on-arrival tests and quarantine.
However, they still need to perform an RTK-Antigen test two (2) days before departure.
WHAT ABOUT TRAVELLING TO AND FROM THAILAND?
Thailand is only accepting tourists instead of frequent travellers for now. The two (2) borders - Bukit Kayu Hitam - Sadao and Wang Kelian - Wang Prachan - will fully reopen for tourists on April 01, 2022.
Travellers from Thailand to Malaysia need to follow the existing SOPs which require a pre-departure PCR test and an on-arrival RTK Antigen test.
Reported in Malay Mail, Thailand's Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn expects all land border entry points with Malaysia to reopen by May 01, 2022.
