VIETNAMESE WOMAN ARRESTED OVER MURDER OF ANOTHER VIETNAMESE WOMAN - HIORSHIMA JAPAN

Police in Hiroshima say that a 32-year-old Vietnamese woman arrested on suspicion of killing another Vietnamese woman, was having financial difficulties.

The 30-year-old victim was found dead in her apartment in Nishi Ward on Oct 15. Her Vietnamese husband found the body after he returned home.

According to police, the suspect, a technical intern trainee who lives in Saeki Ward, is accused of hitting the victim multiple times in the face and head with a blunt object, and then ransacking the apartment, NTV reported.

The suspect, who was sent to the Hiroshima District Public Prosecutors Office on Sunday, told police she had been experiencing financial troubles since coming to Japan, including being subjected to debt collection efforts.

Police also said that the suspect is being questioned about an incident on the night of May 30 when the victim was assaulted by an unknown woman outside her apartment building.
