EMPLOYEE ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING 7-YEAR-OLD BOY AT AFTER - SCHOOL CARE FACILITY IN GIFU - GIFU JAPAN

A 68-year-old female employee at an after-school care facility in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a 7-year-old boy.

According to the police, the woman is suspected of assaulting the child at around 11 a.m. on Aug 5 by grabbing his armpits from behind and shoving him away.

The incident came to light after a male supervisor at the facility reported the matter. The supervisor said: “The woman flew into a rage when I cautioned her regarding how she was handling a child."

Police said the woman has remained silent during questioning.
