Is a protein filament that grows from follicles found in the dermis. Hair is one of the defining characteristics of mammals. The human body, apart from areas of glabrous skin, is covered in follicles which produce thick terminal and fine vellus hair. Most common interest in hair is focused on hair growth, hair types and hair care. But hair is also an important biomaterial primarily composed of notably alpha-keratin and protein. Attitudes towards different hair, such as hair removal, vary widely across different cultures and historical periods and different cultures, but it is often used to indicate a person's personal beliefs or social position, such as their sex, religion also age.

Hair fibers have a structure consisting of several layers, starting from the outside:
  • The medulla, a disorganized and open area at the fiber's center.
  • The cortex, which contains the keratin bundles in cell structures that remain roughly rod-like.
  • The cuticle, which consists of several layers or flat, thin cells laid out overlapping one another as roof shingles.

Common problems affecting the hair and scalp include hair loss, infections, and disorders causing itching and scaling.
Hair loss (alopecia) is a frequent concern for both men and women, although it is normal to shed some hair each day. People who experience more than normal hair loss may have the inherited tendency to "common baldness." Male pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss in men, with a receding hair line and baldness on the top of the head. Women may develop female pattern baldness in which the hair becomes thin over the entire scalp. Sudden and temporary loss of a large amount of hair may be related to the stress of an illness or recent delivery of a baby (telogen effluvium). Alopecia areata causes hair loss in small, round patches while tight elastics or braids may cause hair loss at the hairline (traction alopecia). Certain diseases (eg, thyroid problems, diabetes, and lupus), medicines, or poor nutrition may also cause hair loss.
Infections of the scalp include bacterial infection of hair follicles (folliculitis), infestation of head lice (pediculosis capitis), and fungal infection of scalp ringworm (tinea capitis). Itching and excessive flaking of the scalp is seen with both dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) and psoriasis.

# 1- Hair Fall

Hair fall is a very common problem among women. Stress, medication, or changing hormones can be the reasons of this problem. Another reason that we tend to overlook is using many hair styling products which leads to damaging hair. Effective method to battle hair fall is to limit the use of heat products.

# 4- Greasy/Dry Hair

One reason for greasy or oily hair is dirty scalp. Another reason can be the scalp which naturally produces too much of a natural oil called sebum. In order to keep the excessive amounts of oil in control, wash your hair every alternate days.
On the other hand, using hard water for washing your hair and shampooing too often are the causes of dull and dry hair. To beat this problem effectively, try hot oil treatment and use mild shampoos with moisturizing conditioner.

#1. Drink More Water – Staying hydrated is crucial in tissue growth and health. The hair shaft itself is largely made up of water. Aim to drink at least 64 ounces each and every day.
#2. Increase Vitamin A – Vitamin A is crucial to healthy hair because it “works with the fat synthesis.” Food products rich in vitamin A include leafy greens like kale, carrots, and eggs.
#3. Stop Smoking – Smoking reduces circulation, and this includes blood flow to the scalp. Stop smoking now and improved hair health will be just one of the benefits.
#4. Herbs – When looking for natural remedies for hair loss, herbs are among the most sought out solutions. Lavender, rosemary, and thyme have been shown to help hair growth and prevent thinning or balding. Try either massaging the essential oils into your hair after shampooing, or you can make an herb tea using any of the herbs. The first option will likely have a more direct positive effect.
#5. Vitamin E – Vitamin E also encourages circulation in the body and helps grow new blood vessels, which helps hair to grow. Opening a vitamin E capsule and applying the gel inside to hair follicles can prevent hair loss and balding.
#6. Aromatherapy – Using essential oils like lavender, ginger, rosemary, and fenugreek for a scalp massage can also help with hair loss. 2 drops of essential oil can be blended with 15ml (1 tablespoon) of carrier oil, like jojoba.
#7. Increase Protein Intake Protein is the building block of life as well as the building block of each tissue in your body, including your hair. If you don’t eat meat, make sure you are getting enough complete proteins by adding legumes and whole grains together, quinoa, and nuts to your diet. If you are a meat-eater, lean proteins like chicken breasts are the way to go.
#8. Take B-Complex Vitamins: B vitamins have a wide range of benefits in the body. One in particular (B3) increases blood flow to the scalp. Taking a b-complex can ensure you are getting enough of them all.
#9. Regulate Hormones  Many people who begin losing their hair early or without explanation find they have a hormonal imbalance. If you have other hormonal symptoms, look into natural supplements for hormone regulation and foods that promote healthy hormone levels.
