FADILLAH TAKES DETOUR FROM CAMPAIGN TO INSPECT COLLAPSED SLOPE NEED TO FASTER ACTION :GE15

KUCHING, SARAWAK: A partially collapsed roadside slope at Kampung Semerah Padi here caught the attention of Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof during his campaign rounds on Monday, November 07, 2022.

The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for Petra Jaya went to inspect the site upon hearing of the incident.

 

" A burst pipe caused part of the slope to collapse behind a house in the village.

 

" I will inform the Kuching Water Board to make immediate repairs," Fadillah inform media.

 

He also said he would contact the relevant experts to look into repairing the slope so that it would not pose any danger to residents.

 

The village is within the Samariang state constituency, which is under Petra Jaya, Kuching.

 

He is facing Pakatan Harapan's Sopian Julaihi and parti Sedar Rakyat Sarawak president Datuk Othman Abdillah in a three-cornered fight.

 

A largely urban seat in Kuching, Petra Jaya has 109,809 registered voters.

 

Fadillah also said his campaign was going smoothly so far.

 

" As usual, we are meeting with the party machinery and the people. We will also monitor and interact with people on social media.

 

" In Petra Jaya, it looks like people are firmly with GPS and I'm thankful to them for their support," he said.

 

He added that GPS was working hard to ensure victory not only in Petra Jaya but across of Sarawak.

 

" Our machinery is moving actively throughout the state to garner support," he said.
